Friday 5
Its been awhile since I did a Friday 5...and as I have spent most of the last 2 weeks doing essentially nothing except reading, knitting and surfing the internet, I think it would be a good idea to give you a round up of some of my travellings around the inter-web (lest I start whining again).
First of all, this has to be the most delightful giveaway ever...Hudson Valley Fiber Farm is giving away a starter herd of Angora Goats for handspinners...and a shed. How cool would that be? It looks like they are going to do a good job vetting the entrants and they are offering a lot of follow up support. Practicalities aside, how fantastic would it be to win a goat? (via MommyCoddle)
After searching around on the Fiber Farm blog, I also found the link to this very funny site Probably Bad News with a collection of some pretty funny mis-prints and examples of poor journalism. It actually had me in tears of laughter at certain points (which I am not going to tell you as it may let you in on how low-brow my humour actually is).
Can I also mention the lovely charity knitting book A Hat in Time? £5 for a collection of 35 different crochet and knit hat patterns, with the proceeds going to Save the Children. Sounds like a fantastic deal to me.
Have you seen the Stitch Wars exhibition yet? Kev and Ellis sat for ages looking through the flickr site. So cute. And yes, I married a man who knows most of the dialogue in the Star Wars movies.
And finally, for your listening enjoyment, can I remind you of the lovely Fraggle Rock? This knitting song has shown up in a few places this week and its just so stinking cute.
Have a great weekend.
